My Story
I have always pushed myself to learn as much as I can about different cultures and the world around me as I fought to understand that which never came natural to me as an autistic person. That brought me to a psychology degree with an ASL interpreting minor. Even that could not satisfy my quest for knowledge. At the end of the day the only thing that has worked has been continuing to learn about different cultures, world views, struggles, and societal influences.
A passion for social Justice and the advancement of an inclusive and safe society naturally followed. I used to bemoan the lack of application for my knowledge out side of the advocacy sphere, but then I found Sensitivity Reading. A way to apply my knowledge and help improve one of my favorite past times: reading. Through the struggle to find a deliverables format and par down my notes my business was born, and now I get to help people write better, more inclusive stories everyday, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
When I'm not helping people with their stories I am writing my own. I write about diverse worlds encompassing characters from different backgrounds to fulfill the need for a diverse book shelf and while other authors have done this work before me I strive to have my books recc'd alongside theirs one day.
